Hugely proud of the @LNER team this week - I won’t go into details but their vigilance and professionalism has saved five people’s lives this week, in addition to dealing with on-board medical emergencies and many other customer service issues. Truly incredible effort. Thank you!

It has taken quite a behind-the-scenes effort over the past three days to bring this record-breaker back into service today. It is an example of the action we’re taking to minimise disruption to our services at the current time, whilst the precautionary checks are undertaken.
