Why are we still building thousands of homes with no solar, no heat pumps, basic insulation, no water capture, no grey water recycling? Answer: maximizing profits of developers at expense of our environment & climate.

Didn't Just Stop Oil folk get arrested and imprisoned for impeding traffic? And they were selflessly trying to save the planet, while these people are trying to avoid paying 50% of a tax everyone else has to pay.
So let me get this straight… On the day hundreds of farmers are in London to rightfully protest against #FamilyFarmTax, this Labour Gov releases a 464 page report on food security which doesn’t contain single mention of the Family Farm Tax. We need FULL impact assessment now.

We ban plastic straws but allow this!? Petition to ban plastic grass: polluting, toxic, usually unrecyclable, terrible for wildlife. Please sign. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/3009… @jackwallington

Huge crowds in London yesterday for peaceful The Big One #Earthday environmental protest, but sadly little coverage in mainstream media (Guardian excepted). Compare to huge coverage of disruptive events by @JustStop_Oil. What message does this send? #UniteToSurvive

What a refreshing idea - new study suggests council tax cuts for those with green, vegetated gardens i.e. not paved or covered in plastic grass

It is 60 years to the day since Silent Spring was published. In 1962, 37 pesticides were available to farmers. Today, there are more than 1,000, and total use is up tenfold. Rachel Carson would weep. #SilentEarth @PAN_UK @WildlifeTrusts

Teaching my youngest son the names of wildflowers. He now thinks this is a wooden enemy.

My local nursery sells tree ferns - dug from native forests in Tasmania, shipped 12,000 miles, usually to die a slow death in a garden. This makes me sad.

I’m very excited: Silent Earth is published today! Everyone can get involved in saving our insects – find out how inside! #BanUrbanPesticides #SilentEarth
