Why do I as a full-time pastor coach HS football?
I’ve had most of these conversations over the last 14 years.
Coaching puts me on the front lines in our community.
It gives me a glimpse of the brokenness in our community that can get lost in the “churchiness of church!”

- Encouraging the church to work hard for Jesus is not legalism. Encouraging the church to work hard so they become more acceptable to God is legalism. Seems we’ve stopped challenging the church at all in an attempt to over-correct our sins of the past. Won’t age well for our kids!
