"Cracks in the Foundation of the NPT," my take on the #RevCon in Arms Control Today armscontrol.org/act/2026-06/fo… Repairing the imperfect but irreplaceable NPT regime and achieving real progress on disarmament is not optional. But it will take time, creativity, and smarter leadership.

Meanwhile, as Russian bombs and missiles strike civilians targets across Ukraine and as Russian soldiers die by the day, the propagandists from the Kremlin celebrate with this farcical extravaganza of nationalism and capitalistic excess. Unreal.
During Russia's New Year special on state TV, they openly addressed the West to say, "Like it or not, Russia is enlarging!" The rest of the clip should give you a general idea as to the mood in the studio.

Actually, Russia and China are a problem. But we do have "a problem from within that's really bad" ... and it is the insurrectionist and convicted felon Donald Trump and his anti-democratic, anti-rule of law lackeys.
Trump on Fox & Friends: "I'm telling you. China and Russia, they're not the problem. We have a problem from within that's really bad."

If there are any adults at the WH: please disable the @realDonaldTrump smartphone immediately. Nuclear diplomacy shouldn't be conducted as if its a junior high school argument about penis size. Such reckless tweeting diminishes U.S. credibility and can lead to catastrophe.
North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

The "signs" around Washington [bars] are not looking good these days, unless you like taking risks and enjoy fruity drinks. Happy Sat. nite!

Trump is misinformed and out of touch. The U.S. has no technical, military, or political reason to resume nuclear explosive testing for the first time since 1992. It would take least 36 months to resume contained nuclear tests underground at the former test site in Nevada. 1/

Don't forget: @POTUS has sole authority to launch up to 800 strategic nuclear warheads in < 10 mins.; no AUMF req. x.com/ColinKahl/stat…

Israel is modernizing infrastructure for the n-arsenal it denies it has. Its past time to recognize Israel as the nonproliferation rogue state it is. "Construction intensifies at site linked to Israel's suspected nuclear program, satellite photos show"

Wow. Important @ashleyfeinberg scoop. The Trump Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) is as about as bad as expected. Calls for new, "more usable" nuclear weapons and expands the number of scenarios that might lead Trump to use nukes. Some addtl observations ... 1/
hello here is the 64-page draft of trump’s nuclear posture review coming out next month huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-nu…

Get a grip @POTUS Iran shot down an unmanned drone flying over or near their territory; they didn't hurt our people. The "mistake" was U.S. violation of the #JCOPA which has rolled back Iran's nuclear potential. Your policy is failing. You need to walk back from the brink of war.
Iran made a very big mistake!

From The @washingtonpost Editorial Board: "Our nuclear arms don’t need to be launch-ready. Biden should back down from the precipice." Indeed he should. washingtonpost.com/opinions/globa…

An act of pure terrorism that has nothing to do with "degrading Iran's nuclear potential" that should be condemned for what it is by the U.S. and European capitals.
Iranian footage purportedly showing the aftermath of one of the five car bombs activated across Tehran.
