- Remember the episode in the Handmaid's Tale, where a brain dead, black handmaid is kept on life support long enough to give birth? This is happening in Atlanta, GA right now. Her name is Adriana Smith. She was only 9wks when the state kidnapped her body from her family.
- No paid maternity leave. No paid childcare. Worst maternal mortality rate of developed countries. Little to no postpartum medical care. Gender wage gap, gets worse when you take time off for child bearing and rearing. Average cost of living is almost double the average salary.

- I understand this situation was outside of anyoneβs control but thereβs no way I get βstuckβ in an airport for 3 days. I will simply leave. Uber to a hotel in the suburbs if the city is full. I will sooner rent a car and drive cross country than sit in an airport for 3 days.Atlanta airport is jam-packed. Mothers w/ small children on the floor in the terminal. Line for customer service is 1/2 mile long. No rental cars. Few hotel options. Peopleβve been stuck here 3 days. If there werenβt bigger national news- @Delta CEO would be dragged to testify.
