Shin Ultraman never tells itself 'no.' Breakneck, bizarre, funny, unbridled and full of the heady, psychedelic '60s sci-fi that I love most about the series. Reverential (and referential if you're in on it), but wholly its own. A superhero film that isn't afraid of itself.
