- I will gladly pay more for my energy bills for the sake of this baby
- The idea that Europe can be at peace if Russia prevails in Ukraine is absurd. The idea the US can have a China policy if Russia wins is laughable. This is a fight for our freedom, not just Ukraine’s. Russia must fail. The sooner we realise that the better.
- I want to tell a story about King Charles III. It’s shaped a lot of why I am a supporter of the present-day Monarchy and our new Monarch. A longish thread 🧵 1/12
- Replying to @DanielKorskiI left the unpublicised encounter deeply touched, grateful that my ex-colleagues had been properly thanked, convinced that no politician could have had a similar impact - and with a lifelong respect for the man who is now King Charles III. Long live the King 12/12
- Replying to @BritainForTrump and @piersmorganWait, you’re arguing sartorial standards have increased since the 1940? Nonsense
- Replying to @BritainForTrump and @piersmorganDoes any real Briton write “Sir Churchill”? Isn’t that the funniest Russia troll giveaway?

At this important moment of change in Iran, I was pleased to be invited to take part in this year’s @MunSecConf. However, my participation in this conference has

- Replying to @DanielKorskiWithout ofc comparing my experience or that of my team to those survivors, I only mention it here to say that I saw in the future King’s sensitive engagement, his initiative and his kindness toward many battle-affected - and neglected - people a similarly soothing effect 11/12
- Replying to @DanielKorskiThe late Jonathan Sacks once described the effect The Queen had on meeting a group Holocaust survivors. Meeting her had “brought a blessed closure to deeply lacerated lives.” 10/12
- Replying to @DanielKorskiThe PoW arrived and patiently walked from group to group, meeting everyone and hearing their stories while the various ministers and generals just listened in. He spent as much time as was needed with everyone, asking sensitive questions and commending everyone 9/12
