    Disappointed with @Nature for labeling Hamas as a 'militant organization' rather than a terrorist group. Such editorial choices compromise the journal's scientific and moral integrity. Had I known, I wouldn't have agreed to be interviewed. #HamasTerrorists go.nature.com/3SNmUgd

    1 month ago I was diagnosed positive for #Covid_19 . I progressed from no symptoms for 4 days, to high fever (39/102) for 10 days at home, to pneumonia and hospital 5 days in corona ward, 9 days recovery at home until negative. Still not back to "normal". #nottheflu

    Honored to be named Chairman of VERA (Israel's Committee of University Heads). As a small-town kid admitted to an Ivy through affirmative action 40 years ago, this appointment feels surreal. Israeli academia faces challenges, but we'll safeguard its independence and global ties.

    This was my view as a patient in the #Covid_19 ward (used to be a parking garage). I'm under 60, no background diseases, don't smoke. But still the virus threatened my life. Most around me were also young. Some didn't have the fortune to make it out like I did ... #NotTheFlu

    Ben-Gurion University made a major stride for gender equity! For 1st time, the University Tenure and Promotions Committee will have 5 women and 5 men as members (past years was 1:9!). Kudos to my advisor on gender equity Dr. Hila Riemer for leading BGU to 50:50 at 50! @bengurionu

    #NoaArgamani, an engineering student @bengurionu , is one of >100 who were kidnapped to Gaza by the Hamas terrorists. I visited her parents yesterday on her 26th birthday. Her mother, from China, and father are waiting.

    The names of students faculty and staff who fell in Israel's wars or were murdered in terrorist attacks are engraved on the memorial tablets on our campus. Until 7 months ago, there were 67 names. Since October 7th, another 49 names have been added. יהי זכרם ברוך
