New rule: every member of the media who wants to pop off cynically about women’s hockey during the Olympics must commit to consistently covering college, pro, and National Team women’s hockey during the other 3 years and 50 weeks. 🤝

Proud and excited to join the hockey ops staff of the Edmonton Oilers. Appreciative of the first-class welcome from team leadership and my new colleagues, and thankful for the kind response from the Oilers fans and my friends around the game. #LetsGoOilers
We're pleased to announce that Dani Rylan Kearney has been added to the #Oilers hockey operations department as a regional scout. Dani played for @GoNUwhockey before founding & serving as commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League. Welcome, @DaniRylan! 👏

Words can’t express how proud I am of this pivotal moment for the NWHL. Everyone in the Toronto hockey community can be sure that this first-class team of professionals will make bold strides for the women’s game. Let’s go @TorontoNWHL!!

My heart is with every player, investor, staff member and fan who helped build and grow the NWHL/PHF. You started the conversation about paying women to play pro hockey in North America, and through many ups and downs and personal sacrifices, you kept it alive.

Pittsburgh, D.C., Montreal, Wisconsin, Ottawa, Chicago, Seattle are just a few of the strong markets where NWHL expansion would make sense. But I ask you: where should the next NWHL teams call home? Name one U.S. and one Canadian market. Go!

We believe in the value of professional women’s hockey, our athletes & teams, and ALL women’s sports. To everyone who has been a part of the NWHL, including our fans, players, coaches, staff, volunteers & supporters, thank you! You're all leaders. Happy 3rd Anniversary!

*new name alert* On August 1, my dad walked me down the beach to marry the love of my life. Our families gathered and it was the happiest day of my life. I'm beyond blessed to have a partner who makes me laugh, challenges me, and inspires me to grow. Always, Dani Rylan Kearney

Five years and two days after our first games, this is a historic day as the NWHL adopts a new governance model. Commissioner Ty Tumminia is a rock star and the perfect woman to lead. Congratulations, Ty!

Six years ago, the NWHL and our Founding Four teams were launched. My belief in women’s professional hockey and the players is even stronger today than it was on April 14, 2015, and I will forever be dedicated to advancing the game for all people.

Six years ago, the first NWHL player signed. Makes me so proud to see Janine Weber, Wolfy, Packer, Dempsey, Fratkin and many others from our early seasons playing great hockey and still believing in the NWHL. Here’s to more hockey, and more investment in women’s sports.

Today marks 6 years since the first NWHL game. I have moved on, but I will never forget the players, fans, partners, and staff who made it possible. Women’s hockey can be a mountain, but it’s worth the climb. Cheers to the players, and here’s to the next chapter for the game.
