I officially retire from professional rugby today. A sport I’ve played 32 years which has helped shape me into the person I am today. I can’t thank everyone who has played a part in my journey enough, particularly you, the fans. Rugby will always be a part of my life. Thank you.

Found my old book of thoughts from the @rugbyworldcup in 2015... I wrote these entries the mornings before from some of the most important matches of my career. Wishing my @AllBlacks brothers the best today. #RWC2019 #BACKBLACK

If you understand French then you will have a good laugh at the last paragraph of some fan mail I just received.

This years @rugbyworldcup has been filled with many epic moments, definitely one to remember. Siya Kolisi lifting the Webb Ellis Cup, wow. Japan, the underdogs, making it to the playoffs, I was so proud of them. What do you think were the best moments from the 2019 @rugbyworldcup?
