Diogo Jota hasn't retired. He hasn't been sold. He's a Liverpool player for eternity. Etched into our history. Forever red.

In a way, Liverpool is rewarding and maximising the last few years of Alisson, Salah, and Van Dijk. These guys changed the game for Liverpool.

Van Dijk. It's like walking through a forest of saplings and coming across the mighty oak. Best centre back I've ever seen. Deep block, high line, aerial game, passing long and short, leadership etc. A collosal Liverpool legend. Cherish his last few years.

Joe Gomez. 10 years at the club. Never bitched or moaned about his place on the ladder. Great professional. Every unit needs utility players like Joe.

See how good Van Dijk/Konate were in a deep block. They wouldn't concede in Arsenal's system. Unbelievable display.

Liverpool need to be very careful. History is a good teacher. Dortmund CEO, Watzke, on when Klopp left Dortmund: "Maybe it would've been better if we'd changed the team and not the coach. It was obvious we'd never have such a coach again, but you can get such players again."

Liverpool Twitter. The most schizo and reactionary fanbase on the globe. 15/18. A lot of new players being integrated. Isak/Macca with little pre season. Have a beer and watch the golf.

Liverpool are going to run Fabinho into the ground. He'll be done by 32 at this rate. Has to cover at least 2 positions in that midfield. Can only put out so many fires. The lack of pace is an issue, too. Needed an overhaul. Starting in June 2022.

Be amazed if Nunez is at the club in 12 months

Slot bought two runners at full back. Give them the road. A coach has to adapt his system to the players at his disposal. Bit of a similar role to what Wirtz had at Bayer Caption courtesy of Dan Kennett

The Anfield crowd man of the match. Got right behind the team and manager. Real fans don't demonise a coach who won us No.20. You give him every opportunity to come through the fog. Big respect to the Anfield public tonight.

Liverpool are a poorly coached team. Two words. A mess.

Liverpool went into the midfield market with a begging bowl. Signed an injury prone midfielder. He's now out for 3-4 months. Couldn't make it up.

Liverpool will attain a manager who will win more than Jurgen. It may be someone 10-20 years down the line, but we'll never have a fella like this again. The communal spirit he fostered. The emotion & connection. An inspirational figure who took Liverpool out of the doldrums.
