    Eine sehr wichtige Rede für unser Land. Klar und differenziert darüber, was "nie wieder" heißt. Weshalb Israels Sicherheit unsere Verpflichtung ist und warum es bei uns keinen Platz für Intoleranz gibt. Große Achtung vor dem Vizekanzler. Gut, dass er in eine Lücke getreten ist.

    Makes my day. Baden-Württemberg's offer to treat seriously ill #Corona patients from France is a strong signal of understanding that national borders neither define the right parameter for fighting a pandemic, nor for handling the human drama that goes along with it.

    Two years ago today Sylke Tempel died in a tragical accident. Sylke was an outstanding journalist and author, a sharp analyst, a staunch defender of liberal values, a warmhearted colleague. We miss her.

    Four years ago this afternoon, Sylke Tempel died in a tragical accident. I think of her often. Many of us miss her warmth, her sharp analysis, her journalistic work, her humor, her generous mentorship to many younger colleagues.
