Today I lost my best friend. I lost my biggest fan and my biggest critic. A lethal combination of smarts & sass who always seemed to be thinking of ways to help someone else. Today I lost the love of my life. I miss you already Jen.

- What a night for the family of @MaikKalev to see him play for @GamecockMBB for the first time! Double-double, game-winning defensive play. Good stuff.
- Been trying to put into words my feelings for hours. Tommy was the best broadcast partner imaginable. Probably the nicest person I ever knew. Loved his family, the Gamecocks & baseball as much as anyone. Our road-trips were the best. I’ll miss him more than I can explain.
- Before heading to the ballpark, a quick note on how I spent the afternoon. My late wife Jen was from Nashville & today I got to see the new softball facility at her high school. As you can see, the locker room is named for her. Couldn’t be prouder. Know she is smiling down on us
- Nice touch by @GamecockBasebll on Mother’s Day. All players’ moms throwing out ceremonial first pitch to their sons.
- Y’all realize that @GamecockMBB is 17-3? 17 wins before February. And they play a brand of basketball that is so enjoyable to watch. I notice it in fans’ reaction to what they see. Unselfish, hard-working, connected. You better lean into this. It fits your eye. So much fun.
- Payback is, indeed, a bitch. They celebrated loudly at the Smith Center last year when seemingly everything went GW’s way. @GamecockMBB hits a school record 18 three-pointers tonight on its way to a 22-point win. Great all-around performance tonight.

- I had an office at Williams-Brice for 12 years. For many of those, Charles worked there as well. I saw where Alshon got his work ethic. Charles punched the clock every day. Still does. Damn good man. Both of em.Charles Jeffery has helped prepare Williams-Brice for many special moments. But ...none quite as special as this past weekend for a man with a very familiar last name.
