- Jerome Tang is named Naismith National Coach of the Year!!! Tang in his first year as a Division I head coach had 2 players, found 13 more, had a team picked 10th in the Big 12, took it as high as No. 5 in the AP Top 25, and then took K-State to the Elite Eight. Incredible.
