    Final: DS 71, Bishop Stang 56: The Raiders (21-5), for the first time since 1981, are STATE CHAMPIONS. What an incredible end to an unforgettable season. As a coach, I am so proud of our team for playing such a complete game on the biggest stage. #attitude

    Last day of the season. 16 teams left in the state. I know how fortunate I am to still be coaching basketball on March 16th. I'm honored to coach our team one last time this season. We're ready. #attitude

    Congratulations to Luke Rinaldi for reaching 1000 points during tonight’s win. He is the type of player and person you want leading your program, and I’ll proudly look up at our (new) banner as he joins some of the best players in the history of our school.

    Tonight, we recognized our 4 senior basketball players as well as honored Owen Bingham, a beloved classmate, teammate, and friend to so many at DS. I was hoping for a different result, but I was proud to be part of the DS community. I’ve never seen that gym so crowded #2022 #OB

    Thanks to our guys for a great season. After losing 7 players and 4 starters from last year’s team, we had some work to do. They turned it into our highest regular season win total (with a strong playoff run) since 2005. I’m grateful for my time with this crew—lucky to coach them

    It was a pleasure to also honor Reese Wiemeyer at tonight’s senior night ceremony. Reese has a been a four year manager with our program. His enthusiasm and support play an important role in this memorable group of seniors.

    MVP: Luke Rinaldi-Luke proved to be one of the top players in our league (18 pts/game). In addition to his play on the court, he was named our attitude winner and will join a list of players who possess the traits we want our program to be known for. He’s a great addition.

    I want to thank our guys (especially our 8 seniors) for such a memorable season. The excuses were all lined up for this group, but they wouldn't give in. After being 7-7, they earned a league title and a trip to the Elite 8. It was a pleasure. Be proud--well done. 🏀
