Either we have a city or we have a HOA.

Rural Pennsylvania doesn’t pay for its own policing, which costs Philadelphia alone $1b per year. Their roads, schools, and hospitals all exist entirely thanks to statewide taxpayers. Without state spending, much of rural Pennsylvania would collapse in a year.

Approximately 40% of PA are rural areas with no public transportation. What is your solution to that?

There is no Philadelphia sports fan who puts the love of an American President over their love of the Eagles, no matter which President.
SAME. GO F YOURSELVES EAGLES. My husband is a fan so I got onboard but F this BS

So many conservative American Catholics are actually Protestants. "The Pope is wrong, the Bible says something different" is literally the defining ethos of Protestantism.
Really terrible answer from Pope Leo. God Himself prescribes the death penalty in the Bible. Is the Pope saying that God is "not pro-life"? And who exactly is advocating for "inhumane treatment of immigrants"? What sort of inhumane treatment is he referring to? Deportations?

Fetterman, like in our interview, sometimes struggles with finding the right transition words, but he clearly understands the questions and knows what his answers and values are.

This is because people under 30 have defined basic living standards to include ten DoorDash orders every week.
Has anyone noticed if you're under 30 in America that it's completely over and there's no hope for you to have basic living standards

How are you going to set boundaries with a baby? That's part of why I don't like the whole therapy talk in everyday life phenomenon. Sometimes your obligations as a human being must come before your "boundaries."
It’s sad that being introverted, having a low social battery, and setting healthy boundaries is now considered being an “absentee father”

It is a political cheat code for the Republican Party to be able to kill programs and then a decent chunk of people blame Democrats for it happening.
The child tax credit basically ended childhood poverty in the United States and Democrats just unceremoniously let it die and barely ever talk about it since. I think about that a lot.

In 2024, 41 Senate Republicans voted against the "Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act," which included a child tax credit expansion. In contrast, only 3 Senate Democrats voted against it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_Relie…

We are the only country that thinks it is strange to walk a short distance in a city.
You know East Side traffic must be bad when British prime minister Boris Johnson decides to speed walk to the UN with his security detail. #unga @ABC7NY

I met with John Fetterman before his stroke and I met with him today. He’s never been Pete Buttigieg, a guy who comes up with perfect soundbites on the fly. Both Malcolm and Conor were better at that. It might have mattered to me, but voters didn’t care. They wanted Fetterman.

I think people are in denial about how normalized reckless driving is and how much legal and cultural change we need to end it. You don't have to be a cyclist or a walkable cities fan to recognize reality.
the fact no one even trys to move out the way is insane

Look you might feel mean in the moment but you can't let a two year old boss your family around like this through tantrums. It isn't gentle parenting or affirming parenting, it is just going to make everyone miserable.
I talked my wife into going on a date at a swanky restaurant tonight and it was the dumbest thing I’ve ever done. - Our two-year-old with anger-control issues refused to stay with the babysitter, so we had to take her with us. - She also demanded that her older sister come with

So what are we going to do about the fact that 99.99% of university students are using LLMs to do their assignments?
