Hello, @NYCSchools!
I am deeply honored to be serving as the next chancellor of the New York City Public Schools.
I want to take this moment to introduce myself.
Thanks, #HarryAndMeghan, for joining us today @ PS 123 Community School #inHarlem.
Students enjoyed reading “The Bench” with you and were excited about sharing their mural inspired by the book! #ArtsEd empowers students to express themselves and chase their dreams!
Let me be clear that all students—regardless of where they come from or for how long they have been here—are welcome in @NYCSchools, and we must continue to stand together to lead, protect and defend all children and families.
We are thrilled to welcome Cardi B back home to IS 232 #InTheBronx, and we are so grateful for her generous contribution to her alma mater. Cardi B’s commitment of $100K for the arts will help the school’s kids soar to their highest heights. Thank you, Cardi!
THREAD: Today I want to remind NYC that all students—regardless of what country they come from or for how long they have been here—are welcome in @NYCSchools, and we will continue to stand together to lead, protect and defend all children and families. 1/
Tomorrow my teacher colleagues - 79,000 strong - report back for the 2018-2019 school year. I’m honored to serve with you! Let’s remember this piece of knowledge from a six year old. Have a great year! @NYCSchools@UFT@FollowCSA
In honor of back to school season, colleagues from across the nation are posting their kindergarten throw back pics. Here’s mine. But since I’m an identical twin - you get a twofer. #besttimeoftheyear
All of us @NYCSchools are horrified by the increase in hate-fueled violence against Asian-Americans in New York City and across the country. We stand in solidarity with our @NYCSchools Asian-American students, families, and staff. We are dedicated to helping #StopAsianHate.
