    Heartbroken to hear devastating news that Cullen Taniguchi died suddenly. A brilliant physician-scientist in #radonc, who made impacful discoveries, was an inspiring mentor, and elevated everyone around him. My condolences to his family & his friends & colleagues @MDAndersonNews

    1/2 The Kirsch lab is moving to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre @pmcancercentre @UHN in Toronto on May 1! We are hiring at all levels. Our team uses genetically engineered mouse models and human cancer cells/tissues to study sarcoma, p53, transposons, and radiation biology.

    Phase I data show second dose of #vaccine is critical: 1 dose stimulates IgG production by day 21, but it is NOT sufficient to effectively neutralize #SARSCoV2. Second dose increases IgG by ~1 log and markedly increases neutralization of virus to #COVID patient sample (HCS) level

    I had the privilege to give 2 #doubledocs @MarkChenUSA and @AmyWisdom8 their PhD hoods @DukeMedSchool graduation. Thrilled Mark will train @DukeRadOnc and excited Amy will train @Harvard_RadOnc. The future of #radonc is bright with these stars entering the field.

    Excited to share that @YvonneMowery received the amazing news that her K08 has been approved for funding! At a time when cancer research has been slowed down by COVID-19, great to see the NIH invest in the next generation of #radonc physician scientists.
