- Thank you for the continued prayers for Trevor Schwager, his family & friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10 in the chapel at DCHS from 4-7 p.m. followed by a scripture service at 7. The funeral will take place on Monday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. in the DCHS gymnasium
- It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Tom Barnabo, a long-time teacher and coach at DCHS. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and their sons during this most difficult time. A virtual rosary will take place today at 4 p.m. Please see details below.
- DCHS senior Steffen Osborn has earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36. On average, only one-tenth of 1% of students who take the ACT earn a perfect score. Congratulations and best of luck to Steffen who will attend Notre Dame in the fall!
- The Maroons are state champions! Congratulations to the Dowling Catholic football team! Final: 35-21
- Congratulations to Mallory Wilson, recipient of the Bernie Saggau Award! This award is given to the senior who best exemplifies a patriotic spirit; strong religious & moral convictions; honesty, integrity & sportsmanship; who believes games & life should be conducted by the rules
- Today is the last day of high school for our seniors. We are so proud of all that they have accomplished and thank them for their leadership! Congratulations and best of luck to the Class of 2018!

- Senior Anna Wanek was recently honored as the 2018 Iowa Bankers Association’s Student Athlete Achievement Award winner for Class 5A. Congratulations to Anna who was selected based on her scholastic standing, leadership skills, community involvement and athletic participation!
- The cross country teams at DCHS have a new MVP who is ready to cheer them on! The varsity girls and JV boys & girls will compete at East High School tonight while the varsity boys will be at Ankeny Centennial. Thanks to Father Acrea for being their biggest fan! Go Maroons!
- @dchsgbb Coach Kristin Meyer has been named the 2020-21 Iowa Girls Basketball Coach of the Year! Her selection was based upon coaching performance, lifetime community involvement, school involvement & coaching philosophy. Congrats to Coach Meyer on this well-deserved honor!
