Gretzky record of 894 career goals pretty safe. A player would need to average 50 goals for 18 years. Impossible in today's game.

So you rummage through my tweet history like a desperate scavenger and find a tweet from 11 years ago and throw it back at me? Like I was the only one doubting this record would ever fall? Really?

So someone rummages through my tweet history from 2014 like a desperate scavenger and throws it back in my face like I’m the only one who doubted this record would ever fall. Really? That is taking nitpicking to a new low.

Can’t believe the consistency and durability over 20 years.

Since I’m being roasted for a tweet in 2014 that Gretzky’s record will never be broken, I’m making the bold prediction now that Alex Ovechkin’s record, whatever the final tally is, will never be broken. Then look me up in 30 years to see if I’m right. I’ll be 102 years old.

Dumbest press conference with Alex Ovechkin. Same, stupid questions. I wanted someone to ask how Ovi is able to play at such a high level at age 39 and coming off a broken leg. Gretzky scored 9 goals in his 20th season and retired at 38. I still can’t figure out Ovi’s secret.

In all fairness, I'm thinking someone should ask an #Argos question at the Mike Babcock press conference today.

Jack Nicklaus had never picked up a hockey stick until today on the hockey-themed No. 7 hole at the RBC Canadian Open. Very cool, Jack.

Matt Duchene loves talking hockey. You can see that in his, smart thoughtful answers to reporters' questions. #WCH2016
