Dear internet: the vaccines are about to come out. They need both shots to work. You will probably get injection site tenderness & swelling. A lot of people will feel lousy the day after taking it. This is normal for these vaccines. It’s way better than COVID-19. Take both shots.

vaccine mandates for businesses and restaurants / etc are similar to the 2004 Clean Indoor Air Act when we banned smoking indoors. Smoking is a personal choice but it puts others at risk in an airborne fashion. The difference is that you can’t “just smoke outside” with covid-19

SARS-CoV-2 sticks all over your infected cells (lung, heart, neurons). Your body attacks itself trying to fight it off. Long-haulers are left with a wide range of symptoms that resemble autoimmunity or organ damage. I don’t want this virus in my brain. I’m getting vaccinated.

Well this is bad. Some weeks ago I voiced concerns that COVID-19 patients had very low T-cells. The disease had many features indicating immunosuppression (clearance failure, wide onset variation, demographics of disease, etc).

For those asking: we have held off for a week so as not to compete with the protest movement coverage, but we do have a substantial progress announcement on our COVID19 therapeutic. In the meantime, we wish health and safety for everyone.

We are happy to announce a partnership with Erwin Calgua and Guatemala’s University of San Carlos to enable rapid diagnostic testing of COVID19 convalescent plasma antibodies. USAC will test plasma to find donors with the best antibodies and then bank their plasma as a treatment.

People shouldn’t worry so much about the WHO announcement on COVID19 immunity: 80% of people appear to produce antibodies and people produce T-cell immunity. Many of the “reinfection cases” were test error. Monkeys get immunity. We will discuss tomorrow live at 11AM PST

It is simple: the minute we have a medicine for patients, this crisis is over and we can go back to work again and hug our grandmothers again. An antibody is the fastest way to fix this.
