    Break out the party favors — today marks 93 years since the Benedum Center (then the Stanley Theatre) first opened its doors! 🎉 🎂
    A cake covered in white icing sits in the center of the frame. On top of it are two lit candles that spell out the number 93. Behind the cake is the empty auditorium of the Benedum Theater.

    The recent removal of the Benedum Center's marquee uncovered some long-hidden messages that we agree with! ❤️

    Today is the Benedum Center's 9️⃣5️⃣th birthday! 🎂 The theater first opened its doors to the public on February 27, 1928, under the "Stanley Theatre" name. Join us in wishing Happy Birthday to "Pittsburgh's Palace of Amusement" — here's to 95 more! 🥂

    I think that this, inexplicably, is the first image I've ever shared of the Benedum Center in #Pittsburgh, and what better time to do it than when it's decked out for Hamilton? Usually I'd correct the distortion on shots like this, but in this image, I really like it as-is.
