There’s also the fact it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be. While this applies to NYC as a whole, it goes double for Hell’s Kitchen because now it’s gentrified to hell and back lol
I think something that bugs me about some superhero designs is that they don’t feel like they’re made for the character. At least not in the context of their story or personality. They feel like they’re working off an established template for what is acceptable for a “superhero”.

Comics gotta be the one medium/fandom where it’s elitist to want people to read the things they’re interested about instead of reading summaries. Same mfs that didn’t read for English classes in school 💔
