Fun fact: Since the Fibonacci sequence converges to the Golden Ratio (~1.618) and the conversion from miles to km is ~1.609, you can use this sequence to convert miles to km. For example, 13 miles/hour = 21 km/hour!

Disappointed in general in academia with the overall negative "this can't be right" attitude towards #LK99. What happened to a little hope? Yes, it has to be proven, but even if disproven, it's exciting for science! We're like a bunch of disgruntled parents... "B+? Why not A++?"

Checking my daughter's perceived gender roles (she's 6): Daddy: When I say, "teacher" to you picture a boy or a girl? Pippa: Girl. D: How about "firefighter"? P: Boy. D: Nurse? P: Girl. D: Superhero? P: Girl. D: Scientist? P: That's not a job...! Nearly spit out my coffee.
