- Incredible show of solidarity here at today's vigil in Ballyfermot for Alanna Quinn Idris who had suffered horrific injuries & for her friend who tried to defend her. The community has been clear that such violence has no place here. We as reps must work together to support that.
- We've been told our family doesn't look like a typical Irish family. Well we are! And as role models for my kid & others I would ask all candidates to commit to a NO hate campaign. I definitely will be as I run for #DublinSouthCentral. Racism & hate have no place in our society.
- Very interesting decision in my CETA case in the Supreme Court today. 4-3 decision that the Dail cannot ratify #CETA right now. Incredible day!!
- For years, I watched the toll the toxicity of politics took on this amazing woman. The crap she had to deal with online & off because she dared to put herself forward to represent. I am in awe of what she has achieved & delighted we have such a strong role model for our daughter.Congratulations @hazechu! The first Green Party candidate elected, on the first count in Pembroke 🙌 #KeepGoingGreen #LE24
00:00 - I'm so proud of herself. Time & time again I've seen people hurl stuff at her, not because of her politics but because of her skin colour to the point where Irish Independent said she was one of two most trolled politicians this year. Yet still she smiles & handles it with grace.
- So frickin proud of @hazechu right now. I'm probably bias but she's going to be an awesome Lord Mayor of Dublin! (Great pic by @conorsphotos)
- We honestly do NOT need another hotel right now. We need residential with creative & commercial space so that people can live in the city & build a community. One which helps trade, brings back culture and nightlife & is a capital for its citizens and not just for tourists!
- Tonight I voted for the National Maternity Hospital Motion. I know breaking the whip is a serious issue and I will accept the sanctions. Thank you to my supporters, my colleagues (@neasa_neasa @LourdaScott among others), and thank you to the many campaigners and advocates on #NMH
- Today I launch my new private members bill aiming at reforming the RTÉ archives. RTÉ hold our national video/audio archive and are majority funded by the taxpayer. The archives should be open, for free, for personal and academic use to all. My bill aims to do this.
- This is a terrible decision.
- Thank you voters of #DublinSouthCentral for putting your trust in me. I look forward in representing you to the best of my abilities and not disappoint. Planning out clinic schedules so hope to meet everyone in person in the coming weeks. #GE20202
- THREAD 1/2. Tonight we will be voting for Deputy Kenny's Dying with Dignity Bill. It aims to enable people to die with medical assistance if suffering from a terminal illness. I & other Green Party TDs have asked for a free consience vote & I will be voting in favour of the bill.
- I was a Human Rights observer in #Palestine in 2014. The atrocities in #Gaza & #Jerusalem are not new & they will continue as long as everyone stands idly by while further harm is inflicted on the Palestinian people. We must call for an intervention & stand by those suffering.
