We did it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I'm so grateful to everyone who made this possible. I'm proud of what we accomplished last night. I'm proud to be a Western Pennsylvania Democrat. And I'm ready to get to work for the people of #PA18.

I support impeaching President Trump. I'm sure people have reasonable, practical questions about why we should do this when it's difficult to remove him from office any faster than January 20th. I get that. But here's why I decided it must be done immediately. THREAD:

This is it. We've worked hard. We've had a lot of fun. Tomorrow we vote. Let's win this. #PA18 #GOTV

As a former federal prosecutor, I would like to share my thoughts about "law and order." President Trump is bad at it.

Finally, I just want to say that I personally will never forget seeing those foreign flags — Confederate & Trump — flying over our Capitol. Never, ever again.

When @Tim_Walz welcomed me to the Veterans Committee he smiled and said, “You’ll love debating the Rs on here. They don’t know what to do with guys like us.” Meaning Dem vets, who win in “red” areas by knowing the issues that matter. We’re about to see how right he was.

I stood near 2 electricians during the speech by @VP in Pittsburgh. One was 20 years old, a first time voter, who said this was all new to him. The other turned and yelled over the crowd: “Her vote saved our pensions!” Promises kept. It means something here.

You are collaborating with - rather than fighting - people who: -destroyed union rights at Philly airport; -singled out a huge employer in our state (Penn) for a $175m cut; -announced closure of mine safety offices and even one for the Flight 93 memorial. Just this week.
Fight “harder”—a stunt that would have harmed millions and plunged us into chaos. We kept our government open. Deal with it.
    Axios Article:

“AOC: ‘We need a Democratic Party that fights harder for us.’”

Just got off the phone with my opponent, @RickSaccone4PA, who congratulated me & graciously conceded last Tuesday's election. I congratulate Mr. Saccone for a close, hard-fought race & wish him the best. Ready to be sworn in & get to work for the people of #PA18.

To anyone who is not clear: The First Amendment protected Rumeysa Ozturk when she published her op-ed. The same way it has protected me. Rule of law means that we should be treated equally.

If you’re undecided, let’s say a retired Marine, with 4 decades in uniform, who lost a son in combat, walked up to talk just to you. Wouldn’t you want to listen? That’s John Kelly. He’s no Democrat. And he’s telling you, Trump wants “the kind of generals that Hitler had.”

I just found out on live TV that Lieutenant Governor Fetterman suffered a stroke. Hayley and I are keeping John and his family in our prayers and wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
