On this date in 1483 in Eisleben, Germany, Martin Luther was born! Luther inspired the reformation of the Christian church in the 16th century and we are thankful to God for him and his ministry! Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Sola Scriptura!
This morning in chapel, the campus community gathered to hear and sing the Word and ponder the loss of a child through miscarriage or stillbirth. A simple rite of remembrance was held for all who have lost a child. The service was sponsored by the Seminary Life Team.

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis has extended a call to Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., president of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., to serve as the 11th president in the school’s 181-year history.
Exciting news! Provost Dr. Ronald Mudge announced that, to date, we have received 112 applications for the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Program and 11 for the Residential Deaconess Program for fall 2025.
It is with great sadness that we share the news that our student Lisa Miller died Sunday, March 2. Lisa had been a second-year student in our Online Deaconess Studies Program. Our entire community joins together in extending our sympathies to those who knew and loved Lisa.
We pray for our Ethiopian brothers and sisters as the Mekane Yesus Seminary suffered a flood that tragically took eight lives. We mourn with the EECMY community,which includes some of our own Seminary students. Jesus says “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25 ESV).
