The Defence Committee asked @Louise_Jones_MP, Minister for Veterans and People at @DefenceHQ about the lack of properly fitting body armour and the need for better ballistic protection.
The Defence Committee heard from General Sir Roly Walker, Chief of the General Staff at @DefenceHQ on the percentage of women serving in the army being still too low, and a need to attract the 'brightest and the best' to get ready for 'what might be coming.'
The Defence Committee's session on Women in the Armed Forces will begin shortly.
The session serves as an opportunity to track @DefenceHQ's implementation of the Atherton Report's recommendations.
