- One of my greatest regrets from when I played is not holding my friends/teammates on the team, and even my friends not holding me, to the highest standard. If peer pressure amongst the squad is that of complacency rather than perpetual improvement then winning becomes tough.Peer pressure is powerful. It might be the most accurate measure of day to day culture. On the elite teams it propels people forward to a high standard. On average teams it pulls people backward to a lower standard.
00:00 - The dude sat down in our office in fall & told us that his goal was to be the Pitcher of the Year. He proceeded to not only lead the conference in ERA, IP, and CG’s, but our team (who the same group of people who voted for this picked us to finish 8th) to the 2 seed. A true ace.
