- A "re-classed" 8th grader told me he didn't want to play at his public HS because nobody goes D1 from there. I informed him that 4 players in the past 3 years had gone D1 from there. Don't buy in that you MUST go to a private school to get looks. If ur good - coaches will find u!
- There are roughly 1,053 Assistant Coaches in men's NCAA D1 basketball. If you think it's hard to earn a NCAA D1 scholarship - it's even harder to be an Assistant Coach! Make yourself invaluable, separate yourself from others, and align yourself with the right people!
- I don’t want to call him out by name, but a D1 HC took the time to personally call me to tell me he was hiring someone else, but since I was highly recommended, he wanted to reach out personally. HS and D3 coaches don’t even do that a lot of the time - big time gesture! #RESPECT
- If I ever win a state, regional or national championship I'm paying for the custodian to get a ring.
- Advice for coaches trying to climb the ladder or are just starting their careers: Head Coaches don’t need Assistants to let them know it’s raining, they need Assistants to have umbrellas!

- Guys who went D3 getting drafted ahead of P5 players in the 2022 @nbagleague draft... I love it! It’s not where you go or what level - it’s what you do with the opportunity!!!
- Some people celebrate Thanksgiving - I watch college basketball and diagram offensive sets. We are not the same.
- The difference between some lower level coaches from NCAA D1 coaches is an opportunity!
- To my DOBO friends: best of luck with you first travel arrangements/days of the season! Sleepless nights worrying about the restaurant giving the HC the wrong drink & the delivery driver being late...
