There are 2 types of HS athletes: 1. The ones who are using Christmas break to train, get extra reps in, and remain consistent with goals. 2. The ones who spend Christmas break sleeping in til 12pm, eating 1 meal a day, and staying up til 2am.

Strength coaches willing to work for $25,000 a year working 60+ hours a week isn’t passion. It’s lunacy.

Last time I checked the most successful athletes do the following over breaks: 1. Train at least 3-4 times a week 2. Still wake up & eat breakfast 3. Get 8+ hours of sleep each night They don’t stay out late, lounge on the couch, and waste time.

Although it will take some modifications, you can still train when rehabbing through an injury.

If you are a 150lb, 5’10” athlete at 10% body fat, don’t be scared to eat a cheeseburger bro. Eat like 3 of them for God’s sake!

ATHLETES: You will not be any less of a human if you don’t play sports at the D1 college level. The goals for playing your sport at the college level should be: 1. Get school paid for (some or all) 2. Get the opportunity to achieve playing time
