HS prospects: Your recruiting process is just that. YOURS. Some move fast, some move slow. Don't worry about another young man's situation. Control your attitude, work ethic, character, practice habits, and finally, your film. Be a good teammate, ball out, and the rest will come.

‘21 HS prospects: It’s been a tough recruiting cycle for you (dead period, no camps, no season, NCAA eligibility freeze). If you truly love the game and are passionate about playing in college, stay patient and positive. There will be opportunities for you if you stay persistent.

My family and I are grateful for our next opportunity with @Wofford_FB and @CoachConklin . We look forward to continuing a great tradition. Let’s get to work.

HS prospects: You must separate yourself through your character, grades, talent, and passion for the game. We recruit SC, NC, GA, FL, TN, and more. You aren’t being compared to people in your region. You are being compared to guys throughout the country. What will set you apart?

HS prospects: You are NOT slept on. Your dreams are HARD to achieve. You will be told 'no' or hear absolutely nothing about 98% of the time when it comes to the opportunities you want. Just keep your head down, and do the work. Your shot will come, but you must be prepared.

“Until death, all defeat is psychological.” Football is the greatest game, but it is a tough business sometimes. My family and I are excited for the days ahead. We are grateful for our time at Mercer.

HS Prospects: Division 1 FBS schools are currently in a ‘dead period’. You are not allowed on their campuses. The month of July is a ‘quiet period’ for Division 1 FCS schools. Prospects ARE allowed to visit FCS programs during that time.

There will be good times, and there will be tough times. The fire within you must burn hotter than the trials around you. Adversity, challenges, and obstacles show up in all phases of life. Be tougher than the situation.

HS prospects: Being a college student-athlete is extremely challenging and demanding. I do not care what level of ball you play. The only difference is the attendance and media attention. The year-round grind is the ABSOLUTE same. You better be in it for the right reasons.

2021 Prospects: You must make academics THE priority during the time you have at home. When ACT/SAT test dates are rescheduled, take it as many times as possible before the season. Start preparing for them now. Better grades (GPA-SAT/ACT) = More colleges can recruit you.

‘21 HS Prospects: 🔘Signing tomorrow? Congratulations. The journey is only beginning. 🔘Not signing tomorrow? Patience. The journey is only beginning. Either way, focus on things within your control. Get back to work.

No one has it all figured out, and no one is perfect. Every one of us can improve in countless areas. Success and victory do not come without setbacks and failures. Embrace the adversity and the lessons. Get back at it. Hard work works. It’s simple but not easy.
