CO-Defensive Coordinator / DL Coach @msubeaversfb
- Replying to @CassidyGuerraa and @AnthonyE102414 years and jack jack still a baby 🤔
- 5 kids on my 22 prospect list have received D1 offers in the last 24 hours. Gods timing is always perfect timing.
- If your HS coach or coaches aren’t reaching out to colleges on your behalf the honest conversation has to be had in regards to what exactly are they doing in terms of helping you get recruited to the next level. Some coaches care more about W’s on than field opposed to off 🤷🏾♂️.
- Recruiting 101: Stop claiming you run a 4.4 40 in your bio when your verified track time in the 100 meter dash is 11.65.
- Coaches wont say this but I will, many coaches who come on this app telling you to drop your tape below will not watch your tape they are just trying to boost their follower count. Depending on the time I have I will watch hudl tape sent to me under a post rather than inbox.
- Coaches are so dialed in on portal meanwhile there are many ballers being left out at the high school level. Truth is people don’t want to develop, they want a close to finished product & when those players are done those same coaches poach players that other schools develop.
- Recruiting is built off relationships.
- Don’t say you have 0 offers and “LOVE” the game and turn around & tell a NAIA coach you are above their level, if that were the case you would have multiple offers. Just for transparency if you were above that level your offers would show that. I’m that coach that will keep it 💯
- We as a staff went hard on the 24 class but in order to compete in the NSIC we know we have to go even harder, with that said c/o 25 you are now on the ⏰.
- If you are a c/o 25 student athlete and haven’t received an offer from a DI as of yet it’s not out of the realm there is still a possibility but it’s time to open up your recruitment to “ALL” levels. Relationships are the most important, go somewhere you’re wanted not just a #.
- Some schools will wait until they see other schools offer an athlete just to offer themselves. It’s nothing against the athlete it’s just those schools need other schools to help validate their reasoning.
- After a great conversation…to be offered is a blessing but some offers are coming after only a 1 or 2 min convo then off the phone they go. Prioritize the coaches that get to know you prior to offering, that offer holds more of an investment into who you are as a person.
