Coaching at an HBCU is not for the weak. You’re going to fight battles internally and externally. And if your program experience any type of success it will be even harder. I chose to come back for the fight. To truly even the playing fields and do something thats never been done
Coach Auriemma is such a class act! He’s a legend. It was an honor to walk in the gym seeing all of the banners. I’m very thankful that he thinks highly of me and of what we have done at JSU. Thank you Coach for what you do for the game of women’s basketball! 🙏🏽❤️
You have NO IDEA how proud I am!!!! Our 2nd player to get drafted!!! Angel I’m so very proud of you BABY!!! @hooper_angel15 GREAT JOB!!!!!! Go do your thing!! #MYHBCU
Players come to the HBCU level and think our level is a joke. They think it’s easy. NO you have to work here too. And the parents think they can disrespect us as coaches but don’t talk to the PWI or Power 5 coaches like that. NO you will respect us too!
This means EVERYTHING!!! Two people that I have GREAT respect for. Thank you @dawnstaley and @UConnWBB Geno!!! I greatly appreciate what you do for the game and how you uplift coaches like myself advocating for change and opportunities.
I really wish we had someone filming a documentary of what goes on behind closed doors. The opportunities we provide to players someone else mishandled, the lives we save, the support we provide, the way we get these players ready for competition with limited resources. Its tough
This is a Big Deal to me! One of those moments I never dreamed about because I didn’t know it existed. It was amazing being at the Headquarters of the NCAA. Grateful for this seat. Thankful the circle that push me beyond my knowing. Jackie, Joni, Felicia, Carol, Anita and Diane
