I can’t believe this kid is still available. Jackson Gaffney is a 6’8” shooter/scorer that can play the 1-4. He had a few offers and plenty of conversations but nothing materialized yet. We are talking to schools and looking at other options but just dealing with D1 schools
I am thankful for all the AAU teams reaching out to Tammar. AAU isn’t a priority for us for multiple reasons right now. We would only consider it as a show and tell rather than an exposure thing.
The recruiting and the exposure for Tammar is going great. We plan on taking him
I don’t think people understand the physical difference between a good high school player and a 22-23 year old college player.
Far too many high school players think points are preventing them from playing at the college level, when in reality it’s the weight room.
Small guards need to study Merrimack guard Budd Clark (@buddclarkk) - NEC Conference Champion & NEC Rookie of the Year - Some players are gifted athletically or physically, Clark thrives at pattern recognition and preying on players that are uncomfortable and/or inexperienced.
True Story # 1 ….. I remember we needed another point guard for our AAU team to play with Kobe and Rip. At the time, this particular guard only had D3 offers. He decided to play with us and pick up a few other d1 schools. He then decides to Prep and picked up several other
Basketball is just too easy for Brandon Austin. Gets to spots, no wasted energy, & moves with purpose.
Mature game - A pros pro.
One of the best to come out of Philadelphia.
It amazes me that players don’t have recruiting manners. I called a kid last week and it was like talking to myself. He had zero personality and he finish the conversation with call my coach. SMH 🤦🏾. I see why you don’t have offers. Just say you’re not interested and save us both
Coaches are taking notice to Jordan Riley (2021) from Brentwood NY. He’s not in the top 150 ????? These recruiting services need to cut the politics out and take notice. Trust you eyes people ..... this is what a NBA player looks like in high school
There’s an noncompetitive epidemic happening in basketball all over the country. 👇🏾
The talent level is the highest I’ve ever seen it. Division III programs have Division I talent. Low majors are beating high majors. There’s a lot of parity. But hustle, the willingness to
In Ft Lauderdale watching Nova Southeastern Sharks play. I told my kids to pay attention because this is not your average D2 program. It looks like a bunch of D1 players playing D2.
6’8” G Jackson Gaffney (@jgaff100) has committed to University of San Diego @usdmbb
Thank you Steve Lavin (@SteveLavin64) for believing in him!
Jackson took a bet on himself and it paid off - Let the congratulations be as loud as the criticism.
