- One year ago, this was "the week". Wins against two incredible programs in Sierra Canyon and The Patrick School over the span of 6 days. Packed gyms, electric atmospheres, will never forget it. @LuHiBasketball
- God is good man. So grateful for moments like this with @LuHiBasketball. Tonight was a culmination of years of hard work in many ways. Truly proud of our guys and my staff, they embraced the opportunity and took the win over an amazing Sierra Canyon team.
- God’s timing is perfect. A year ago was the worst experience I had ever had in athletics. Belief, perseverance, and trust brought us back to this moment. I have no amount of words that can truly express my gratitude for these young men. 2019 State Champs!
- Andre Curbelo (@papicurbelo11) has to be seriously considered for a @McDAAG selection! He had an incredible December, earning Most Outstanding Player honors at the @iolaniclassic, then backing it up with another MOP award and all-time tourney assist record at @BBCbasketball!
- So proud of this team and program. Teachable moment, always peacefully stand up for yourself in a moment of injustice. Obviously, there are much greater examples of unfairness in our country, but for my seniors, this was their final game and what we play for all year.
- Thank you to all of the players and assistant coaches who helped make this possible!Coach John Buck picked up his 300th career victory on Saturday, as the Crusaders defeated Eagle Academy 74-58!
- It was an honor and a joy to lead this group of young men! No jealousy, no complaints, just work, support, appreciation, and love for each other and @LuHiBasketball. Amazing season fellas, you made our community so proud. I am extremely grateful for you all!
- Yesterday I met with @papicurbelo11 one more time before he heads off to @Illinois_Alma. His impact and his journey at @WeAreLuHi are starting to sink in. We talked about what’s important in life and how to stay focused in college. It’s been a blast Dre. Love you and visit soon!

- Huge pass on the “abolish the handshake line” argument. We’re already disconnected enough as a society. Win or lose, I believe looking the opponent in the eye and remembering he/she is a human is an important part of sport.
- Love you son! If you decide this is fun and want to stay after it, I promise to support you every step of the way.
- Thanks to Coach Boff and @rc_basketball for coming out to LuHi today. Praying for Tariq Watson, who collapsed during the second quarter before we agreed to cancel the remainder of the game. Early signs are positive as he’s reported to be responsive and stable. 🙏🏼
