- Coach Non-Negotiable 1. Must be a great teacher in the classroom. Your coaching won’t save you no matter how good you are. A good teacher is a good coach and vice-versa. Be the best teacher in the school building!
- When Coaching School is in San Antonio it’s not ideal: Trip: 50 miles round trip daily. Parking: $10-$20 daily. Food: $15-$30 daily. Listening to the 🐐 Nick Saban: Priceless. #RollTide @THSCAcoaches #THSCA

- Coaching Non-Negotiable: Be Available 3. Be physically present. That means be in the locker rooms, weightrooms, or outside greeting kids. Being in coaches office or having the headphones on tells kids your not available to them. Our kids need us more than ever.
- Parents please encourage your kids to participate in extra curricular activities in school. Get them in athletics, fine arts or any program. Built in accountability and a place where they can be a part of something bigger than the individual. Time to rise up from the pandemic!
- Congratulations to @tyson_deen on officially signing with @wyo_football and receiving Jon Wayne Player of the Year. Tyson has graduated early and is leaving today for Laramie. Tyson I love you like a son, I’m proud of you, sad to see you go, but excited for your future.
- The Dragon season came to and end last night. I am disappointed in the result, but I am even more proud of the effort the Dragons gave. Today confirms that our kids played through injuries, fatigue and so much to the very end. Thank you Dragons. I love you guys.
- Thank you for the honor. This honor represents the great players and great staff that I get to work with. I am beyond blessed to work at Southwest High School. - Nobody wants to be the bad guy. If the bad guys means holding kids accountable, pushing them in everything they do, and wanting them to be the best they can be. I’ll be the bad guy! Let’s have a great day hump day today!
- I keep bragging about @aj_franco10 but man super proud. After scoring 29 on Tuesday in hoops he comes to track to hangout and @Coach_Salinas30 asked him to run in the 800 and he goes out there and competes hard! No practice or training just heart!
