Can we please make an effort to get team helmets for HS baseball teams … it looks brutal when every kid has a different org’s helmet

- Today’s required coverage of the strike zone in youth baseball 🤣🤣
- When I was in college, I would call my dad, my mom, and my grandparents to tell them how each game went … three separate phone calls after each game…. Takeaway: I miss those conversations that I can no longer have.
- How do you feel about players calling you by your first name rather then “coach”? Sign of a strong player-coach relationship or lack of respect?
- Suppose you have an uncommitted 16u player who throws 6.1 innings, gives up 0 runs and 0 hits, and strikes out 11 … playing in a PG event … is social media coverage to be expected? Asking for a friend 🤦🏻♂️
- College baseball coaches … what is the #1 thing you look for when watching a potential recruit play, aside from performance?
- Everyone wants a “private tryout” instead of attending the group tryout … umm, I am not holding 77 different tryouts.
- Absolutely soul-crushing when I do everything in my power to serve my players and their families…and the parents still crap on you. Unappreciative parents, take your kids elsewhere. I’ll spend those extra hours each week making recruiting calls for someone else who gets it.
- Okay…I am legit over getting reminder emails to pay for tournaments 2+ months out and being threatened to get yanked from the event. Yall can’t even post your schedules more than 3 days in advance…go somewhere
- Attention tournament organizers 🚨 When running a tournament, email the schedule to the coaches immediately and prior to releasing publicly. There is nothing more annoying than parents posting the schedule before the coaches have had a chance to see it. Figure it out.
- I am allowed to be excited for my guys and my organization when a kid earns a college roster spot and makes his decision. It isn’t about you or me, it is about the athlete and their family!
- PSA (VA baseball community): Absolutely NO ONE does a better job running tournaments and covering their events than @PBRVirginiaDC and the numerous staff they have running around throughout each event 👀 …
- When one of my teams is short on players for a game or tournament, I like to pull players up from our younger team to compete. Guest players should be a last resort.
- To the 14 yo boy who stepped up and umpired from behind the mound today for our 11u games … I/WE applaud you, thank you, and appreciate you. #noshow #buildingcharacter
