Do high school seniors realize how hard it is to get a scholarship this year? Between Covid eligibility & the transfer portal, everyone wants the older, physically & mentally mature guys who have been through the not being the star anymore stage, home sickness, & sack lunches.

JUCO dudes: D1 talent doesn’t get you D1 scholarships. You can’t just blend in, you have to produce & stand out. D1 dudes are different. It’s a mindset, it’s a work ethic. Lots of dudes have D1 talent, but can’t live up to the day to day work & grind it takes to make it.

I’m really at a loss for words tonight. I just found out that former NOC Mav Chelvin Webb passed today. Chelvin was one of the hardest working players I’ve ever coached. He was an even better young man. Please keep Chelvin and his family in your prayers. RIH CWebb. πŸ™πŸ’”πŸ˜’

Very excited about our upcoming 2023-24 season. We recently had a scholarship open up. We have an opportunity for a legit D1 level player. Must like school, be a team player and be a good dude off the court. DM’s are open. Looking for right fit for the program.

PSA: Every roster on a college program is going to be full. If you are a first time freshman, you will need to realize that you are going to have to come in and compete no matter how good you believe you are. There are never any guarantees, especially if you feel yourself.

There are 347 Division I college basketball teams. Each team offers 13 scholarships. There are about 4,511 Division I college basketball players this year. That means there are approx 1,127 D1 scholarships available to current HS, prep and Juco kids. What’s going to seperate you?
