Note to parents at games: Cheer for your son and his team. Don’t give instruction- it’s not helpful and u will turn off coaches looking at your son for the next level.

I love when guys come in to hit- take 100 swings with the tee in the same spot, same height and think they actually did work. All they did was get an aerobic workout. You need to focus downfield, visualize a pitch, move the height and placement of the tee every 5-6 pitches =A+

If you are in middle school and want to make your school team this spring-start swinging a drop 3 or wood bat now in training and games. You are doing a dis-service to yourself swinging -8 in weekend games just to get hits. Coaches should encourage players to do this.

If you are a coach you need to seriously look at becoming a member of the @ABCA1945 @CoachB_ABCA Entering my 28th year, this past convention was one of the best in terms of speakers and vendors. If you are looking to get better the 75$ is worth every penny!!

Anytime you are doing throwing drills or warming up, make sure you make every throw have a purpose. Don't waste this important time

My 2 cents on Tournaments- Directors-first make sure field is in good condition-2. If you are going to charge 30$ for parents to get in make sure the bathrooms work/ have soap/ paper towels. Concessions are a + and if field has a scoreboard pay a kid to work it.

I love doing lessons with players who are focused, answer yes sir when you ask them a question, scurry to pick up balls after BP, and shake your hand while looking you in the eye when the lesson is over.
