    My dad harvested his last crop today. 46 years of farming. His dad, my grandad, came out to see the end of it. 81 years of farming in that photo. Bittersweet day for sure. Congrats dad on an outstanding career. Heck of a farmer, heck of a dad.

    Special thanks to @TonyPetersen17 for the phone call earlier today. Pretty neat to reach out to all of the high school coaches, even the small school guys. Lifelong @IlliniFootball fan, don’t have to sell me to much. Excited about the future & can’t wait to catch a game soon.

    1 last ride last night. Informed the team on Tues, that I would be taking an asst job @ North Gwinnett HS in GA. Opportunity to coach @ one of the top programs in GA & hook up w/ a couple of Danville coaching buddies. Much love Tri-County. Truly loved being the Titans 🏈 coach

    56-0 W to finish off a perfect Frosh season. Beat some proud 7A programs like Norcross, Collins Hill, Mill Creek & Grayson. Big win vs an undefeated & physical S. Gwinnett squad last week. Outscored opponents 255-71 & didn’t trail after the 1st qtr of week 1. Proud of these guys

    Put out a tweet a while back about my dad finishing up his farming career. The replies were overwhelming. Much love to ⁦@BuschBeer⁩ for this gift. I don’t drink anymore but maybe my old man can have a few cold ones in his down time. Might have to steal one of those hats.

    Personally, it’s been a crazy journey. From growing up on a farm in an east central IL town of less than 400. To being a Varsity assistant football coach @ a 7A school in Georgia. Super excited to work w/ all of these outstanding coaches this season. Pinch myself on the regular.

    So, I spent 7 hours yesterday watching Ozark. It was a terribly unproductive day. My goal this morning was to find the house, as I knew it wasn’t terribly far away. One google search & a 20 min trip later, there it was. Felt a little creepy but the view of the lake was incredible

    Big congrats to my brother-in-law ⁦@ctarr6⁩ on winning his 300th game tonight & yet another conference championship. Took over a program that was down & out. Quickly turned it in to a powerhouse in Central IL. 300 wins in 14 years w/ many more to come.

    Big moment tonight for this young man. Freshman Chase Morrow had to step in & play about 20-25 plays on the DL in a 7A Georgia playoff game. Soft spoken young man held his own. Proud of you Chase. Invaluable experience for the future.
