- The scenes from Glasgow are utterly horrifying - this is not the Scotland I want. Feels miles away from my mtg today with inspiring young asylum seekers supported by @BritishRedCross who were speaking about aspirations to work, study and make their home in Scotland. #CallOutHate

- Thank you to everyone for the kind messages following my decision not to stand again next year. They mean a lot and are at times overwhelming. It’s been a tough decision, but the right one for me & my family. Here’s a link to my statement in full aileencampbell.scot/1303-statement…
- I can’t ignore tweets suggesting posts celebrating Skye Stout’s (a young woman) signing to Kilmarnock FC have been overshadowed by appalling abuse & misogyny from adults/trolls who ought to know better. This shows how much we still need to fight for respect. #bethedifference

- Last night driving home I listened to the wonderful @sanditoksvig on the radio-she mentioned that in Iceland they have a day where they switch off the street lights so folk can see the sky and then broadcast on the radio a lecture about the stars. I thought that sounded marvelous

- Yesterday was a tough day for my office following the horrible attack on it. What has been amazing has been the incredible messages of support-too many to respond directly to. That’s the thing to remember - good and kind folk outnumber the haters. Thank you a’body 🥰💛💛
- I had hoped the government would cancel ‘significant’ birthdays during 2020 (the First Minister has one this year too😜) My favourite thing on this birthday has been my eldest laddie’s gift of a poem with a little help from dad-a real keepsake! Love to everyone during lockdown! X
- I loved every minute as minister 4 public health &sport, working with inspiring folk giving everything for the health & wellbeing of Scotland. The list is too big to tag a’body...but sincerely, to everyone I have met/worked with these last 2 yrs THANK YOU 💙
- It makes me happy our national hero is not a man of war or aggression, but instead of poetry, words and song. Happy Burns Day #BurnsNight #BurnsDay 🏴
