I'm grateful we tried. Man, oh, man, did we try.

Shouldn't over 1,000 scientists risking arrest to save the planet be a bigger news story than Elon Musk trying to buy Twitter?

Again for the people in the back

I wish everyone on Earth knew how genuinely "off the charts" key planetary trends are right now, and how abnormal and critical it is. Things like atmospheric CO2 fraction, heat extremes on land and ocean, biodiversity loss and extinction rates. All alarms should be going off

It’s incredibly difficult being a climate scientist in this society, at an emotional level. We can see the future, it is terrifying, and we are being ignored

I don’t think we’re nearly angry enough about rich people burning down our planet irreversibly so they can get a little richer

I cannot even begin to express how frustrating and devastating and terrifying it is to be a climate scientist in a society run by climate deniers

Earth on track to be unlivable. Story, page 3. You can’t make this up

End private jets. Just fucking end them. And declare climate emergency already. Stop fucking around with irreversible Earth breakdown. Let's end this heat nightmare and dismantle the fossil fuel industry that is causing it.

The mainstream media barely covered climate scientists getting arrested all over the world in a desperate bid to save the Earth, it is actually even worse than Don't Look Up

It's incredible to me how many people aren't yet terrified by the climate emergency

I'm terrified by what we're seeing this summer, and by knowing how fast it's getting worse, and by how there's not really a ceiling on how bad it can get, and by how almost everyone still pretends business as usual can go on. Those who are not terrified don't have a clue.

A few personal notes: I was just at a NASA team meeting for 3 days in DC. The scientific findings are so fucked up. Experts on tropical rainforests told me privately that they think the Amazon has already passed its tipping point. Let that sink in. The world needs to know
