- October ‘18 I tried to commit suicide, i was attending a drug and alcohol centre where I was challenged more than ever before. October ‘19 I was selected for Ireland, and qualified for the 1/4 of the champions league. - 2 hours in the difference, today could have been a bad day, but I made it a good one and all I did was speak about it. I cannot express how important it is to open up, I’ve come along way ☀️
- Tonight I joined my first AA zoom meeting, and it certainly won’t be my last ☺️
- I hit another milestone this week in my recovery, 900 days since my last suicide attempt, 900 days sober and after 900 days I am now in the process of coming off my medication. 900 days ago I made a decision to change and I will never look back. Emotional wreck but I am so proud.
- 2 years sober today 🥳
- Without a doubt a very challenging year, but the progress I have made in the last 6 months makes the sweat and tears all worthwhile getting ring in the new year with my family. Wishing everyone a happy New Year, here to 2021🎊
