Usually just before midnight I’d post a collage of memories from the year - and I am lucky to have had many but 2023 will always be the year I lost Nanny. Nanny was the biggest part of my life for as long as I can remember.

- Eamon Ryan: let’s rob people of their only source of heating while people are going cold in their homes. Many people who buy turf are older and can no longer physically safe it themselves. This is tone deaf from Government and will be resisted.
- Disappointing to see 14 of the 36 women elected to the 33rd Dáil vote against an extension to maternity leave for those mothers who have faced so many challenges during their maternity leave because of Covid19. The @matleave2020 campaign will continue and intensify.

- People across the West & North West are in an emergency situation. It is unacceptable that the Government would not sit in the Dáil next week. We have a job to do for the people who put us in our positions and this is made more difficult without the Dáil functioning next week.
