🥳 BIG NEWS! The City of Longview has been awarded a $4.2M grant from @TxDOT to fund the Cotton Street Streetscape project!
This will enhance the south side of Cotton St. with new sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, & upgraded features.
We are excited to announce that our Municipal Court will now hold a monthly evening open docket on the first Monday of every month from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Location: Check-in is in the lobby of the Municipal Annex Building, 302 W. Cotton St.

Train Derailment in Downtown Area – Streets Blocked
A train derailment has occurred in the downtown area, resulting in several street closures. Fredonia Street, Center Street, and Horaney Street are currently blocked. The 500 block of E. Cotton Street is also closed to traffic.
There are no injuries reported, and there are no hazardous materials involved. Railroad personnel are on the scene assessing the situation and working to clear the area. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to avoid the downtown area while crews respond.
