    While staff and volunteers appreciate the many offers of donations for the #Chilliwack reception centre, the centre is at capacity for supplies and cannot accept any further donations. Please do not bring donations to the Landing Sports Centre at this time.

    The Nooksack River has overflowed at Everson. The interreceptor dike system in Abbotsford is designed to direct this water to the Sumas River and then flow out to the Fraser River at the Barrowtown pump station floodbox. Updates at chilliwack.com/floodwatch.

    The #Chilliwack reception centre at CSS is open for evacuees. Volunteers are busy registering evacuees with EMBC to ensure they receive emergency support services, including lodging. Please do not bring donations to the reception centre at this time. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Update, November 21, 9:30 am: At 4 am (November 21), staff received word that the City of #Abbotsford finished repairs to the Sumas dike breach. City of #Chilliwack staff are monitoring water levels and continue work on road repairs.

    Staff received word that the Fraser River was low enough for the City of Abbotsford to open their flood gates this morning at 1:49am. They are still working to repair their dike breach. City of Chilliwack crews remain busy this weekend monitoring water levels. #Chilliwack

    The ESS Reception Centre is now open at the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre (45530 Spadina Ave.) Any residents that did not evacuated Yarrow earlier today are encouraged to evacuate immediately.
