- After 49 days of darkness, today the people of Tromsรธ, Norway will see the sun for the first time since the 26th November. A total of 54 minutes of daylight for them today as the polar night comes to an end for another year! Hereโs the latest pic from Tromsรธ
- Although it won't be confirmed until after the event has reached Earth, there are signs tonight's Severe Geomagnetic Storm will be the strongest since 2005. This will mean it's likely all of the UK (cloud permitting) should be able to see the the Aurora tonight if you look north

- It has been confirmed that last nights rare event was classified as a G5 Extreme Solar Storm by NOAA. This last happened in October 2003 Although not as strong tonight, with a number of geomagnetic storms persisting the #AuroraBorealis could be visible again cloud permitting
