- If fans of @TexasTechFB want to root for someone other than their school on occasion, try Louisiana Tech and Abilene Christian. Some quality folks are in charge of those programs now.
- He is the epitome of a dirty work player. What Lee Hunter does for Texas Tech allows so many others to do their thing. It doesn’t show up in box scores but he is a huge part of that Texas Tech defense.
- You lose your coach to Memphis after the first trip to the NCAA's in 9 years. Your next coach takes you to an Elite 8 and Title game in his last two years and leaves for Texas. The coach after that leads you to a 3-seed in his first season. All in seven years. #sports

- Joey McGuire and the culture his players have bought into are about to take this fanbase on one wild and fun ride. Buckle up.
- Mike changed the sport of football and he was one of the most refreshing and unique figures in it, period. He always did it his way and most loved him for it. Not sure I’m doing what I do, if not for him. I owe him a lot. Just a really sad day. 🥲
