Hey PhD admissions committee members - not so random story tonight: NFL recruiters thought Tom Brady had "bad stats" -he barely got drafted (~200 players drafted before him) Moral of the story: Maybe take a chance and admit an "imperfect" applicant this year πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Random stuff happens when you can leave your house. Met John Nash briefly at my first faculty reception at @PrincetonEcon Introduced myself to John as his "newest colleague" as we were in line for food - and then proceeded to ask if I could take a selfie (playing it coolπŸ˜…)

Now that a lot of top universities will have most, if not all classes developed and prepared for online distribution, what is stopping them from giving access to students from developing countries as MIT and a few others have done with a subset of classes already?

Big thank you to whoever sent this shirt (and no note) for my recent πŸ‘ tenure vote

Happy for the Nobel winners and excited for Labor and Applied Metrics getting the Nobel - but can't help but have Alan Krueger on my mind this morning.
